Hello this is Kevin Harrington. I have been in the video business for 18 years. Coming from a film background, I have always been interested in compelling imagery. Whether it is shooting big-wave surfing or a thoughtful interview, I always get jazzed if I can make it "look right" for the client.

Like most of you out there who love what you do, I follow my industry - the video and film industry, quite closely. I do this by reading trade mags, using the internet and learning from others. There is quite a lot of information out there and it is changing by the month - literally. These changing technologies from video formats, computer-based editing, and web tools can be quite dizzying.

The Next Step
I will use this column to post articles and introduce new services or software that I find useful in my work. Why? To give people in the industry and business owners a heads-up on what's happening and dispel some of the hype associated with these new technologies.
My primary focus is to dispel some of the mystery behind the current technologies and offer a variety of solutions that business owners, marketing directors and producers can benefit from.
So that being said, lets jump into a few recent developments that I find very exciting from a videoguys' point-of-view. Thanks for listening!

An Apology
I would like to apologize to the many many people who signed up for my newsletter and expected a more timely e-zine. I admit I have not updated it for a long time.
I have to be honest, I'm a small businessman and this stuff takes time. I will send a email to everyone on my email list and ask them if this e-zine is worthwhile and post a survey to find out if this e-zine is viable and to what scope it should take. Again, thanks for listening!
